Health News Round Table

The Global Touch Foundation has been tasked with creating a pilot for a mental health series. This series pilot includes interviews with 4 leaders in the mental health space. These interviews will include mental health professionals, digital media organizations, and advocates. The Mental Health Roundtable discussion was added by request of our first selection of the 4 participants, Kristin Sunanta Walker. She asked that the foundation open up the video to include podcasters on the network she founded, Mental Health News Radio Network, who are able to join us for this first video session

What is the Global Touch Foundation? Created in 2010 by Jonathan Bertrand, this not-for-profit organization was developed to understand social media and its impact on our lives with a special focus on mental health and addiction. Initiatives like the foundations Social Media Awareness Day, The Social Networking Effect, Social Media Dependency Disorder, and The Triple Conscious Theory continue to raise awareness globally about how the internet and social media has changed the very way in which we live our lives.

Objective –  The roundtable is to discuss topics that stem from mental health and how social media has affected this sector of healthcare. We endeavor to highlight the different perspectives across the multiple generations and mental health topics the network podcasters represent.
